How it works:
Participation in the auction
In order to participate in the auction, only a simple and free registration at www.sonderauktionen.net is required; the credit card number or bank details are not required. Citizens who do not have their own Internet access can use the public, but chargeable, multimedia workstations in the public library of the city of Oberursel (Taunus), Eppsteiner Str. 16-18, during opening hours.
Conduct of the auction procedure
A maximum and a minimum bid are fixed for each object found. The purchase price of an item falls in a few cent steps over the offer period of 10 days from the maximum bid and then approaches the minimum bid set by the lost property office. If interested in an item, bidders can enter a purchase amount immediately or bid at the current price at any time during the auction.
A maximum price of EUR 100,-- and a minimum price of EUR 10,-- applies to a bicycle.
Bidder 1 enters a bid of 55,-- EUR in the list, bidder 2 enters 69,50 EUR. While the starting price has dropped to 72,-- EUR in the course of the auction, Bidder 3 makes a bid for this price and is awarded the contract.
Collection of the objects
After the contract is awarded, the buyer, the lost property office and the operator of the Internet platform are automatically notified by e-mail. Withdrawal from the auction is no longer possible thereafter.
The items are to be collected on presentation of the confirmation of the e-mail auction and payment in cash or by EC card from the lost property office of the City of Oberursel (Taunus), Rathausplatz 1, Room 101, during the office hours of the city administration:
