Outdoor Farmers' Market on the Market Square
Outdoor Farmers' Market on the Market Square

The historic old part of Oberursel is well worth a visit, but you should also check out our centre of town -  a "town of short distances".

You will certainly enjoy a stroll through our "Vorstadt" and the adjoining shopping streets. There are quite a few charming shops and boutiques, some of which are still family-run, to check out at your leisure.

A traditional outdoor farmers' market takes place twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays - selling fresh produce from Oberursel and the surrounding area.

You are also very welcome to sample the many restaurants, cafés, bistros, pubs and bars in Oberursel. You will enjoy the quality of the food and service during your evening out.

The Oberursel centre of town is easily accessible by public transportation.

Public Transportation into Oberursel's Centre of Town

S-Bahn/train (S 5) to Oberursel Bahnhof/Station - Walking distance: 5-10 min.
U-Bahn/train (U 3) to "Stadtmitte" and "Altstadt" - Walking distance: 5-10 min.

.... and the Oberursel town buses (bus lines 41 and 42) take you right into the centre.

If you decide to go by car, please follow the car parking guide and park your car at

  • Indoor car park "Holzweg"

  • Indoor car park "Stadthalle"

With indoor parking facilities for 765 cars (and more on-street parking available), you don't need to worry about parking in downtown Oberursel.

So take your time to stroll around, shop and eat out in our centre of town !
