Originally from Finland, nordic walking is a great form of exercise to improve your stamina and health. It was developed for cross-country skiing, biathlon and nordic combined athletes to exercise during the summer months. Nordic walking combines (fast) walking with elements of cross-country skiing.
Nordic walking has meanwhile become an increasingly popular sport for all ages. The technique is easy to learn and benefits the whole body. Nordic walking exercises the leg muscles and the upper body by using special, light-weight walking poles made of a carbon/glass fibre mix. It is the perfect sport for everyone who wants to lose some weight and improve his/her cardiovascular fitness ...
