Oberursel is the perfect location to set out on hiking tours in the Taunus. Most hiking trails start at the outdoor car park Hohemark (across from the last U train stop).

The Mühlenwanderweg (circular tour to former mill sites) and the Keltenrundweg (circular tour of the former Celtic settlement) are easy to follow as they are very well signed, courtesy of the local history club.

The circular tours Altenhöfe, Forellengut, Hünenburg, Kaiserin Friedrich and Laubwald & Heide are hiking tours which have been prepared by local hiking experts.

There are three circular routes (marked R1, R2 and R3), covering an overall distance of 28 km, which are related to our local history and nature. The signs are courtesy of Taunusklub 1878 Oberursel e.V. Start and end of the tours are easily accessible by public transportation.
