During the summer months the open-air theatre "Theater im Park" - nestled in a scenic park setting - is well worth a visit. School theatre performances and the like enrich Oberursel's cultural life.

Events which attract local residents and out-of-town visitors include the Taunuskarnevalszug (Taunus Carnival Parade), the Brunnenfest (Fountain Festival), Herbsttreiben (Fall Market) and the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market).
